Spurs Crowned Highland Fuels Champions

Lerwick Spurs have once again been crowned Highland Fuels champions after defeating Delting 2-0 in the final on Wednesday night. After winning the cup three seasons in a row, the town side lost their title to Whalsay last year, however they have bounced back impressively this year, notching 19 goals on their way to glory.

Fourteen of those goals were despatched against Whitedale in the quarter final and a narrow semi final victory over Ness Utd set up the clash against Delting at Harbison Park. Sean Maver and Paul Molloy strikes in each half were enough to separate the teams and secure the first piece of silverware of the 2016 season.
