Highland Fuels and Madrid Cup Draws Made

The draw for this year’s Highland Fuels Cup has been made tonight with the competition scheduled to get underway in Whalsay next month. As the name suggests, this Cup will once again be sponsored by Scotland’s leading fuel distributor Highland Fuels.

Following their promotion to the A League set up this season, North Isles open their account with a preliminary match against Whitedale with the winner facing last year’s runners-up Delting in the quarter final.

Ness Utd are up against Scalloway; Celtic face Whalsay; while last season’s winners Spurs will undergo the defence of their title with a tricky quarter final clash with Thistle.

 

FULL HIGHLAND FUELS DRAW:

Preliminary Round:
North Isles FC v Whitedale

Quarter finals:
QF1 – Thistle v Spurs
QF2 – North Isles FC/Whitedale v Delting
QF3 – Ness Utd v Scalloway
QF4 – Celtic v Whalsay

Semi finals:
Winner QF2 v Winner QF1
Winner QF3 v Winner QF4

 

 

The group stage draw for the Madrid Cup has also been made tonight which is also scheduled to be played at Harbison Park this season.

Group A consists of Whitedale, Ness Utd, Thistle, North Isles FC and Spurs; while Group B is made up of Whalsay, Delting, Celtic and Scalloway.
